La Marina is an amazing little hotel (hostel). Set right on the Ibiza harbour front.

The rooms are very small, but very tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable with air conditioning. There is loads of hot water, lots of pressure and working shower heads. The rooms also have satellite TV and telephones (with alarm calls and voice mail - but the instructions are hard to come by).

La Marina also has an excellent if not slightly expensive restaurant at ground level, facing out onto the harbour.

If you are looking for accommodation only, give the hotel a ring, as it acts a the reception for a number of hotels and apartment blocks in the harbour area.

The staff are very friendly and generally speak great English. (I am a firm believer that it is the job of the tourist NOT to speak the local language. Otherwise we may as well stay at home.)



This hotel is directly on a working dock, and is noisy.

If you are staying at the back of the hotel:

You will have little if no view, but street noise (music/drinkers) early evening to about 2/3am.

If you are staying at the front:

You will have a great view, but it disappears with the arrival of any of the ferries, so it can be difficult to sleep at any time of night or day.

Generally staying in a front room, will not suit a clubber or late riser.

Other little things to note: If the TV only picks up one Spanish TV station on ten channels, ask reception to re-tune it. English stations are available.
