RELAX
We are constantly updating this section, and decided on RELAX as a header after a great deal of debate (10 minutes with a bottle of white wine in the back of a taxi on the way to SPACE...) even though there is a hell of a difference between one persons idea of relaxing and anothers. (Mine involves a roll of cling film. ;-)
Others may spend three hours a night shopping, while some spend all day on the beach. - So this section is a bit of everything, that has been suggested is/could be relaxing and or therapeutic - without falling into the realms of sexual encounters. (There is another section coming on that shortly.) The small but growing rash of hairdressers, massage therapists, and fashion accessory shops, which falls easily into my definition of pampering are included here, as well as the directions to the gay beaches.
Ibiza Offers everything that your average queen on holiday could ever want. From health food stores, numerous gyms and enough chemists to convince anyone that Ibiza presents a serious risk to public health.
We will shortly be adding pages detailing the GYMS available accross Ibiza Island, with information provided by gymvisit.com - a database of gyms in over 65 countries including every state in the USA and every county in the UK - as well as just about every GYM in Ibiza. In the meantime please visit their site bly clicking their link above.
For those of you looking for masseurs, they appear to be very seasonal and transient, most lasting a few months over the height of the season. A masseur can usually be found at the gay beach (Slainas) otherwise check out the bars hotels for flyers and or cards for this seasons incumbents.

There has also been a marked change in your holiday habits. Many of you are now taking 'budget airline' flights and spending the savings on better quality accommodation, staying clear of the old and tired tourist accommodation and booking private villas/apartments leaving you free to do lots of entertaining 'at home', as it were, (we are talking BBQ's and the like).
So, this section also details some of the shops and services available in Ibiza, from fashion to masseurs, internet cafes and gyms. As well as the main supermarkets for stocking up on party/BBQ supplies. We have included the more popular, or gay friendly (staffed) business.
Book Shops
If you love to sit in a shady spot reading for an hour or two, or can't live without a broadsheet over coffee, there are a few 'International news' stands and shops dotted around Figueretes and Ibiza Town. Most stock the usual collection of tabloid papers from around Europe.
The best store for a bit of everything 'book-shop-ish' is in the main square in Ibiza Town. 'Libraries VARA DE REY', Vara de Rey, 22 Tel +34 971 31 18 19
The store sells books, videos, mags, maps, pens...... and has the best collection of Ibiza history, photographic and guide books available.
The airport had a good selection of international press (but it's a bit of a trek unless you are on your way home).
