List of parties 2009 - Coming shortly (as soon as they are confirmed)

'PACHA' the word, as far as I can gather means absolutely bugger all - if you know differently please get in touch and let us know. It is pronounced 'Pat-cha' but you can pronounce it any way you want to if you are paying to get in.

Legend has it that the club started off life as the back end of a farm house and quickly grew, walls were added and a roof followed. It is now an institution which many fell 'in love with'. Those that did fall in love, stayed in love, and the club appears to attract an older age range.

Even though the Pacha magazine devoted an excellent issue to 'all things gay' in summer 2006, Pacha has not been known for hosting gay parties, despite the rumours that they intend doing that surface every year, and the fact that many of the club's staff are gay.

OK, putting it in perspective, the straight clubbing magazines think that it is positively 'mixed', - and if Pacha was in the Mid West, it would be probably just too queer for the natives.

Many go because Pacha is 'Pacha', and just need to say they have been, others go to carry on a lifetime career of DJ stalking.

It is well worth giving Pacha a try, but go with a group of friends, especially early, late or out of season, mainly as everyone else does, and they are not that friendly.

Pacha is a good size for a club where it is still possible to meet people, keep track of friends, and hold a conversation.

If I was an architect, specialising in public building I would be able to think up something better than 'nice' as a description. As for being "the most beautiful club in the world...", it just goes to show how good the designer and decoration teams are. The sound system/acoustics are however very good, which is why I would go to a club.

NONE OF THE SUPPOSED GAY/FRIENDLY PARTIES HELD IN PATCHA ARE IN ANY WAY GAY. It tends to be over crowded, and has very high drinks prices - if you can get serverd...

Pacha now has its very own hotel (just next to the club). If you have stayed there, let us know what you think of it.
