The ORIENTAL bar has gone, and has been replaced in exactly the same spot by French owned 'Cheri'. ( It was probably too inconvenient to move it.)

The owners are, as you would expect, very charming, sophisticated, bloody good company and at any given moment in time, not at all outrageously camp.

The bar is right next door to the Dome and just as chaotic in the height of summer. Club parades end here most nights, so there is standing room only as the numbers of fabulously tanned bodies triple with the addition of those looking for a 'last chance' free entry arm band.

The bar is open all year, weekends in the winter, (and over local holidays). The large terrace is in as good a spot as it can be, and the inside just the right size for he winter months.

Cheri is a great place to go and find yourself accidentally totally trashed...staring at arses, while trying not to be an arse yourself.

Cheri is as friendly as it gets in this corner of the town, and complements the surrounding bars famously, being marginally more relaxed than its immediate neighbours.
